You scream, I scream We all scream for Ice Cream!

In order to properly honor #NationalIceCreamDay, we’ve decided to dedicate this entire blog post to the top five places to get ice cream all over Montreal! We know that the past few days have been uncomfortably hot and there isn’t much that quite cools you off like a nice ice cream in hand! I don’t know about you guys, but I have a huge weakness for ice cream and have never turned down any opportunity to go out to get one! Whether it’s at eleven at night and I’m already cozied up in bed or I’m about to go an extra twenty minutes out of my way to try a new “hot” ice cream parlor, I’m always down! So calling all ice cream lovers, pay attention because you don’t want to miss out on trying any of these places this summer!

#1: Wild Willies

Wild Willies is a very popular and not to be missed spot located in Pointe-Claire! They are known for their soft served ice-cream that can either be dipped, turned into a blizzard or sundae! If you’re feeling a little adventurous, they you must order their King-Kong banana split filled with multiple scoops of ice cream, toppings, syrups and whipped cream! It is not something you want to miss out on!

#2: La Diperie

I’m sure you’ve all stumbled upon some Instagram pictures with this tiffany blue wall in the background at one point or another… but it’s not the wall the customers keep running back to! It’s this one of a kind ice cream place. La Diperie is located in the middle of the plateau, which is a perfect place for a late night summer stroll. Although this place only serves soft served vanilla ice cream, we promise that it is far from ordinary! Once you have chosen the size you want, customers then get to dip their ice cream into twenty-one different varieties of hot Belgium dips! Such as: dark chocolate, cheesecake, cookie dough, Oreo, chocolate mint and much more. Once you’ve created your hard outer shell you then get to choose what topping you would like varying from pretzels, pecans, coconut shreds, pistachios and many more! To top it off, customers then get to choose if they want their dipped ice cream covered in syrups! The perfect combination to hit any sweet tooth that’s for sure!

#3: Kem CoBa

This tiny neon pink and green ice cream store is too bright to miss and most certainly should not! I just tried it for the first time this past weekend and can confidently say I will be returning very shortly! Kem CoBa is located on Ave. Fairmount! If you’re looking for some good hard ice cream, you don’t want to miss out on their salted butter or their peanut and honey flavors! Something that makes this place so unique is that every week they have a new combination of flavors put together in a soft served form! This week was strawberry sorbet mixed with cheesecake-flavored ice cream! (Probably one of the best things I’ve ever tasted with the perfect consistency) Previous weeks have been dark chocolate and raspberry as well as apple and cinnamon! I strongly suggest going and getting a taste of their soft served combinations!

#4: Point G

Point G is your Point to Go! This ice cream shop is located on Ave. Mont-Royal E in the Plateau as well! They are well known for their delicious Parisian-stye macarons which have been surfacing social media like no other! However, they have used their special talents in the pastry department to create something too delicious to resist! They’ve created homemade creamy, rich ice cream that is now served in between two macaron cookies as a sandwich!! Doesn’t get much better than these two worlds combining!

#5: Monsieur Crémeux

Is the heat getting to you? Feeling too lazy to make it to the ice cream store? Well then Monsieur Crémeux has solved all your problems and come to the rescue! This mobile ice cream truck is hard to resist! This ice cream truck serves an abundance of soft-served flavors as well as refreshing slushies and even better, ice cream sandwiches!

We hope you’ve found something on this list to satisfy those tastebuds as well as to cool of this summer heat! If you weren’t an ice cream lover before, than we’re sorry for converting you into one!

You scream, I scream, We all scream for Ice Cream!

A Dreams MKTG Field Trip

We loooove field trips! Especially when wine, champagne, bourbon, pizza, and oysters are all involved! Ok we’re getting a little ahead of ourselves, let us explain!

Recently Dreams MKTG was invited to an exclusive media night hosted by the oh-so-lovely Maria Antonopoulos of the Antonopoulos group, and let us tell you… it was fabulous!

Our first stop was Bevo Pizzeria where our very own Justin Sabini got up close and personal with their head chef as they both made us a delicious pizza! Did you know you can make your own pizza at Bevo every night of the week? You do now!

Next up was another little treasure known as Taverne Gaspar, glasses of champagne and oysters upon arrival made this our favorite stop, but we could be biased! From Monday to Friday, every 5a7 offers 1$ oysters! We suggest you book in advance because it fills up quickly!

From Gaspar we made our way upstairs to the breathtaking rooftop Terrasse Sur L’auberge! With the champagne flowing freely, along with the stunning views of Montreal, it was the perfect way to end the evening!

Thank You to Experience Old Mtl for hosting such a beautiful evening, we look forward to the next one!

#AllGirlsCanPlay Part Two

Just last week, the Women’s U.S. soccer team won the Woman’s World Cup and we couldn’t be more proud of our neighbors.  With so much #SheBoss energy going around, this is the perfect time to get involved and advocate for girls around the world with One World Play Project!

A few weeks ago, we introduced you to One World Play Project’s campaign: All Girls Can Play.  Not only is it a genius project but, an inspiring one.

In case you forgot; One World Play has designed the most durable and long lasting soccer balls that can handle any weather and roughest environments.  For each ball that is purchased, with the help from Coaches Across Continents, a fabulous One World Futbol will be delivered to children worldwide.

The foundation estimates 8,340 children receiving the gift of play.  How insane is that?  So far they have raised 278 balls and are 2200 away from their goal!

Dreamers, its your turn!  Help fight for girls all around the world by heading over to and get involved today!

Did we mention the futbols are fabulous?

The Little Black Book

Here’s something I just can’t understand

If the guy have three girls then he’s the man

He can either give us some head, sex a roar

If the girl do the same, then she’s a whore

But the table’s about to turn

I’ll bet my fame on it

At some point in our lives, we’ve all entered that dangerous zone of needing attention. Whether we just got out of a relationship and need to be distracted, or all of our friends have a significant other and we’re currently single, or we just flat out need some physical interaction from a specific someone. When entering, or in this current state of mind, we often pull up that one little thing that not everyone is proud to admit they have but has become quite useful at times, their little black book!

When you hear those three daunting words, right off the bat the most natural reaction is something negative and correlated to a promiscuous train of thought. The little black book is most commonly known for containing phone numbers, email’s or even home addresses of past or potential future hook ups. The reason this book is often hidden or not addressed in conversation is because it is for the eyes of the beholder only.

The little black book made its appearance in our lives for the first time as the “Chicktionary” in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Will even had a whole ceremony the night he passed down his book of chicks to Carlton. It then reappeared in a movie with this concept as its plot. The movie Little Black Book, staring the late Brittany Murphy, is about her finding her boyfriends little black book and deciding to contact all of his past women to explore his past “types” and relationships while comparing them to the one she’s sharing with him now. One of the main arguments this movie presented, was that men kept a list of women that they had on the “back burner” just in case they lost interest or something was to go wrong in the current situation they were in.

As time has passed, the legacy of the little black book continues. However, one of the greatest evolutions of this seductive list is that it now does not only belong to men, but women have created their own books as well. It is no longer considered “only a guy thing” to keep a list of past hookups. Us women now have our own little “di*ktionary”.

Successful women don’t always have the time to go on proper dates or devote the time and effort needed to sustain a healthy relationship, but we still have needs that need to be met! Just like men do. Women have become powerful, independent role models that are currently breaking one male stereotype at a time, and the little black book is one we are taking seriously about conquering. So if you see a cute guy out there, write down his number, take his info off his Tinder or Facebook page and put it in your little black book just in case you need it in the future. So boys, if you see us writing something in our little “pink” book, don’t be too quick to assume we’re as innocent as we seem.

Letting them know we’re gonna stand our ground

Lift your hands high and wave them proud

Take a deep breath and say it loud

Never can, never will, can’t hold us down!

Dreamers Helping Dreamers

Dreams MKTG’s inside scoop on branding yourself.

We pride ourselves on helping our fellow business owners succeed. From our past to present and future clients, we give our all so that they can become known within their community. Why? Simple. We love you, Montreal! We know how tough it can be to start branding your business, which is why we’re giving you the low-down.

1)   Dream Big.

There’s a method to our madness.

We dream 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Why? Because it works.  Ask yourself; where do you want to take your business? What is your wildest dream? Nothing is too crazy.  Once you’ve got it, set it as a goal for yourself.  It is the only way to make it come true.

2)   Research.

Scout out the competition

You aren’t the only dreamer.  See what everyone else is up to. Find out what works and what doesn’t. Ask yourself; how will YOU be different? Get creative, build and grow off their ideas.

3)   Who are YOU?

Lists are e-v-e-r-y-thing.

Figure out what makes you, you. Write out your pros, your cons, what you can work on, what you excel at. Think of it this way: if we met you today, what do you think we would say about you and your business? Grow from there.  Pinpoint what needs more attention and what you can do without.

4)   Get to work.

Head over to the drawing board.

After all your research and lists, think of how you plan to implement your data.  What is your online visibility like right now?  What platforms are you familiar with and which do you need to become more familiar with? How will people find you? What networks do you need to tackle?

P.S. We are always here to answer these questions for you, Dreamers. Which brings us to our next point…

5)   Ask for help!

You know that long list in your phone called your “contacts”?

Maybe you met in school.  Maybe they are old colleagues.  Right down to your best friends and family members.  Show them what you’ve got! Ask for their opinions.  No matter who they are, one thing is for sure: they will be honest, they will give great insight and they will help you. And don’t forget: all input is good input.

A smart business man or woman knows that properly branding your business is the most important investment you can make. Keep in mind: “your brand is what others say about you when you’re not in the room” – Jeff Bezos.

Make it good!

Happy 4th of July

Dear all you Americans,

We Canadians are wishing you a very Happy Fourth of July! As some of you may know, this holiday is also known as Independence Day, when the United States formally separated from Great Britain. But enough with the great history debrief over here, we’re cutting to the chase!

Us Canadian’s are not just wishing you a happy Fourth of July but also openly admitting that we would rather be there celebrating with you! Who wouldn’t want to be decked out in the most high-end red, white and blue outfit to attend probably one of the most elaborate parties of the year! We know those Hampton houses will be filled with champagne, top of the line catered food and music! So where the heck is our invite? We support you guys, we illegally pretend to be US citizens on Netflix just to get access to your movies and TV series! That should count for something right?! So let us party with you!

We’ll just pretend that our invites got lost in the mail this year.. but we’re holding you to it next year! Have an amazing day, enjoy the fireworks and party hard to make us Canadian “wanna-be’s” even more jealous!

You are the Page, the Ink, the Poem…

Whether it’s a roman numeral, picture of a tree, arrow or a word written in cursive letters, tattoos have been around for centuries. In today’s modern society, when people with tattoos are asked why they chose to ink their bodies, they will respond with something along the lines of: this tattoo is in memory of a specific person or time they never want to forget, some say that they did it during a spontaneous or impulsive moment when they were younger, while others view their body as a blank canvas and use tattoos as a creative form of expression. We thought it would be interesting to take a look back at the history of tattoos and discover their original purpose versus how people in society use them now.

For as long as history has presented itself, humans have always marked their bodies with some form of tattoo. For thousands of years, these permanent bodily inscriptions have sometimes been plain, elaborate with image, personal or have held higher meanings and power to the outside world. For example, in some cultures tattoos served as a symbol of status, a declaration of love, religious beliefs or even forms of mockery or punishment.

Some of the earliest found tattoos were small dots and crosses placed on the lower back, knees and ankle joints of human bodies. The strategic placement of these tattoos suggests that they may have been placed there to alleviate any joint pain and therefore were originally used as a therapeutic measure. In ancient Egyptian findings, mummies that were found with tattoos were claimed to have bee shunned by society. Their male spouses or masters would tattoo their women that portrayed “dubious status” as “dancing girls” and mark them with tattoos to broadcast inappropriate behavior. In the Greek and Roman culture, tattoos symbolized the sense of “belonging” to either a religious or cultural group.

It is very interesting to see how small simple markings held such different meanings throughout time and in various cultures all over the world. The beauty of tattoos today, is that they don’t hold one specific meaning like they did many years ago. Today, it is almost impossible not to pass a person with at least one tattoo. And what is even more interesting is half the time you don’t even know who really has them. Picture someone whom you work very closely with every day. To the public they may dress completely professional and appear very conservative, however, you don’t really know what lies skin deep. Most likely the person you would least expect to have a tattoo has one, they know it’s there and its meaning and exposure is solely for them.

Whether you’re choosing to decorate your body as a voice to the public or rather as a personal motivational tool that only you know the meaning of, we encourage you to continue rocking the skin you’re in!
